Senior Manager / Director of Marketing
Job Summary:
This is your shot at being a critical part of something amazing. We’ve laid the foundation with an incredible app and some groundbreaking tools that promote content, acquisition, and re-engagement while driving a rapidly expanding active user base. Now we’re on a mission to build on that greatness and find an agile, results-driven marketing leader to own the strategy and execution of our stack.

To help us achieve that mission, your role will be to increase Cobbles’ brand awareness while accelerating user acquisition and retention. You’ll be in charge of designing, implementing, and executing a consistent and coordinated set of campaigns, tactics, and strategies that leverage every available resource we have. That’s your job… in a nutshell.

Along with experience in digital marketing, we’re looking for someone with a growth mindset that knows how critical scalability and efficiency are to our success. As part of your supervisory role, you’ll be responsible for:
  • Overseeing the daily workflow of the department
  • Offering direction and oversight to dedicated marketing resources at Cobbles
  • Clearly communicating our vision, specific objectives, and performance expectations with existing resources
  • Providing constructive and timely performance evaluations as per company guidelines, practices, and handbook
  • Recommending additional resources and new positions as needed, lead sourcing tracking, and hiring with operations, and
  • Building against our cultural and mission-driven goals with everything you do.
Your day-to-day at Cobbles will include:
    Building and executing a comprehensive marketing plan that includes (but definitely isn’t limited to):
  • Defining, testing, reporting, qualifying and scaling an arsenal of marketing tactics designed to meet Cobbles’ strategic objectives of community growth and market expansion
  • Planning, building, implementing and communicating a vision for online marketing and translating that into a coherent, repeatable, and scalable digital marketing strategy
  • Defining, testing and deploying a set of tactics that drive user acquisition as a repeatable and cost-effective model in thousands of markets with limited or no platform risk
  • Leading and managing company strategy for digital content, social media account creation, management, and expansion in support of our core goal of community growth
  • Leading with data: establishing a culture within marketing that is fundamentally grounded in gathering, studying, and drawing conclusions from data. Funnels, Cohorts, testing, and learning are our daily regiment
  • Analyzing and tracking marketing plan and performance using KPIs, OKR’s & other metrics. Then working with the CEO to refine, evolve, meet and exceed every associated goal
  • Monitoring and ensuring our marketing plan is in alignment with the marketing budget
  • Researching competition, investigating best practices and benchmarks, and providing suggestions for improvement
  • Working with the senior team in the development of the overall strategic plan, and
  • Demonstrating an enduring sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on our company’s success.
You’ll also help support Cobbles’ goals by:
  • Amplifying our brand
  • Providing product and creative feedback as needed
  • Sourcing, hiring, and managing third party partnerships
  • Any (and all) traditional marketing tactics as needed, and
  • Coordinating our public relations efforts.
You’re the right fit for Cobbles if you have:
  • At least 5 years of marketing experience, with solid expertise in digital marketing
  • Proficiency with online tools (like influencer SEO, plus paid, email, and inbound marketing)
  • The ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Experience in building and managing a budget
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and you’re comfortable in virtual meeting formats
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate when appropriate
  • Excellent organizational, project management skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and
  • A bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field. Ideally with a digital marketing qualification.
